CLASSROOM RULES:
• No food/drink is permitted in the dance rooms.
• Class will be conducted with the doors closed to avoid distraction from the lobby.
• Students must arrive to class on time and be prepared to dance.
• Attendance is taken at the beginning of each class.
LOBBY RULES:
• No student is permitted to leave the building without a parent/guardian or a parent/guardian’s permission.
• Please try to keep the lobby as quiet and clean as possible.
• Please do not interrupt a teacher while class is in session.
• We are not responsible for unsupervised children.
SUBSTITUTION:
• The school reserves the right to provide a substitute if the regularly scheduled instructor is unable to teach.
• If an instructor is unable to teach and the school cannot arrange a substitute, missed classes will be rescheduled.
WITHDRAWALS AND REFUNDS:
• Withdrawals can only be processed before the end of the current billing month.
• Withdrawals must be done in writing and will not be accepted over the phone or in-person.
• To withdraw from a class, a parent/guardian or adult student must complete a Withdrawal Form or submit your request through email.
• Upon completion of the withdrawal process, regular billing will be dropped before the next billing cycle begins.
MONTHLY TUITION POLICY:
• Tuition is based on a total of 28 classes per year.
• Tuition is due the 1st of each month (excluding January).
• Tuition is always the same amount, regardless of the length of the month.
• We accept cheques, credit (VISA, MasterCard, American Express) and debit.
• All cheques should be made payable to Dance Kids Canada.
• If payment is not received by the 10th of the month, a $15.00 late fee will be charged.
• There is a $25.00 charge for all returned cheques.
• If your account falls behind more than 2 months, enrolment may be terminated.
• There are no refunds for missed lessons.
SNOW/BAD WEATHER POLICY:
If it is necessary to cancel lessons due to severe bad weather, a recorded message will be placed on our answering machine to notify school closure. We may not have enough time to inform all students: it is your responsibility to contact the studio during times of severe weather. There will be NO reduction of tuition for school closure because cancelled classes will be rescheduled at a later date.
HEALTH:
Please inform the administration and instructors of all health issues such as allergies, injuries and/or conditions. We trust you to make the best judgement when it comes to bringing a sick child into class. Should your child appear to be too ill to participate, the studio reserves the right to refuse a child’s admission to class and require that you take the child home.
DISCARD POLICY:
The studio reserves the right to cancel the enrolment of a child for any of the following reasons:
• Disregard for the studio rules.
• Non-payment or excessive late payments.
• Physical and/or verbal abuse of any person.
INJURIES:
Parents, legal guardians of minor students and adult students waive the right to legal action for any injury sustained on school property resulting from normal class activity and/or any other activity conducted by the students before, during or after class.
KEEP INFORMED: The school provides 5 methods of communication: phone, email, website, student handouts and in-studio posters. It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian or adult student to utilise these methods of communication and be aware of school activities such as photo week, dress rehearsals, performances, etc. and other important information such as closures, cancellations, due dates, etc.
Dance Kids Canada is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Payment of the registration fee confirms that I have read, understood and accept Dance Kids Canada policies. |
